My boyfriend and I along with his mom went on this trip in June, and I wasn’t really sure I was going to join them until the last minute and I only thought about visiting bookstores when we were actually there. Thank heavens for the Internet!

Malaysia Day 4: Last Day
I don’t think I already mentioned in my previous posts that our trip was originally just until the 25th of June, but sometime during May, we were informed that there were no scheduled flights on that date, so our flight back home was re-scheduled on the 27th instead. So, on our last day, we decided to wake up a little later than usual because we were all too exhausted from the previous days. We didn’t have anything on our itinerary, anyways.
Malaysia Day 3: Of Temples & Towers
On our third day in Malaysia, the places on our list in the morning are the Thean Hou Temple and the Sri Mahamariamman Temple. As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I wasn’t really into this before this trip, but having been able to visit and see different kinds of temples, I found myself getting more curious about each of its history.
Malaysia Day 2: Kuala Lumpur
So the story continues – on our second day in Malaysia, our schedule is to travel from Malacca to Kuala Lumpur where we will be staying until our flight back to the Philippines. Our booking at Faithview Hotel & Suites is also inclusive of breakfast. So, of course, we just had to take advantage of that since we still have a long day ahead of us.
Malaysia Day 1: Malacca City
It took 4 hours and a couple minutes to get to Malacca from Singapore. If I remember it correctly, I think it was a little after 1 a.m. when we arrived at the Malacca Terminal. It was one heck of a crazy experience arriving there at that hour — from trying to connect to the internet using our newly bought Malaysian sim to trying to hire a cab or booking from Grab. It took us a couple of hours before we finally found someone to drive us to our hotel only to find out that we couldn’t book for an early checkin because they are already on full-house. Good thing there was a nearby hotel where we stayed for the rest of the night (+ inclusive breakfast. Yay!).
Singapore Day 4: Orchard Rd & Golden Mile Tower
On our last day in Singapore, I was having major period cramps when I woke up. So, I passed on going to Botanic Gardens and asked that I stay in the hotel to get all the rest that I can because we will be travelling to Malacca in the evening. Besides, I didn’t want to ruin the whole Botanical Gardens experience just because of my period. It sucks to have your period on trips like this.
Singapore Day 3: Far, Far Away
On our third day in Singapore, we went back to Sentosa Island to spend the whole day at Universal Studios. I personally love theme parks and as much as possible, I’d love to try out all of the rides – especially rollercoasters! So, the moment we entered the theme park, we immediately lined up for Battlestar Galactica – which totally turned my insides upside-down.
Singapore Day 2: Sentosa Island
Sentosa Island, I believe, is a haven for the kids at heart as there are so many fun
activities to try! I think what I liked the most is that every corner of the place is Instagram-worthy.
Singapore Day 1: Around the City
Let me just start with the fact that a month ago, I never thought I’d be able to join this trip. So here’s the thing, I don’t get to do a lot of travels as much as, well, everyone, so this will probably the first time in years that I went on an out of the country trip – and the first without my parents.
