Nuvali, Sta. Rosa: Solenad & Amaia Steps

We didn’t want to leave La Finca, but our time was already up. The morning of our check-out date, we still managed to wake up early to do some morning swim. The water was freezing, but nothing can really stop us from taking our final dip in the pool! We started moving and fixing our stuff at around 10:30 AM, took a bath, got dressed, and took some photos before before we left.

After our stay at La Finca, we went to Sta. Rosa to visit my boyfriend’s lola. We booked a unit at Amaia Steps for an overnight stay, so we have a place to crash after our visit and our roaming around Solenad. This is a bit embarrassing to admit given that I just live in San Pedro and Sta. Rosa is just a few minutes’ drive away, but I haven’t been to Nuvali in years!

Our original plan was that we were going to eat dinner at Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina, but we were so full from all the eating we did at his lola’s that we decided to just have coffee at one of our favorites: Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. He ordered his usual Pure Vanilla Ice Blended and I was up for trying something out of my comfort zone, so I tired their Vanilla Latte which tasted very yummy! I was never a fan of vanilla, but the vanilla ingredient that CBTL uses is definitely a hundred for us.

The unit that we rented looked really nice, I think the owners made it look very IG-worthy. It was also clean, cozy, and peaceful. We got there early because we didn’t have any place to go to, really. We just bought snacks in case we get hungry and then went back to the unit. We watched a lot of movies and had a couple of drinks before finally dozing off. The next day, we watched another movie and took photos before leaving the place.

Then, we went back to Nuvali to have lunch at Silantro! We ordered quite a lot of food for two since we were both famished. We ordered their best-sellers: Beef Nachos, Chicken Quesadillas, and Paella Fajita.
