I’m telling you why we broke up, Ed. I’m writing it in this letter, the whole truth of why it happened.
Min Green and Ed Slaterton are breaking up, so Min is writing Ed a letter and giving him a box. Inside the box is why they broke up. Two bottle caps, a movie ticket, a folded note, a box of matches, a protractor, books, a toy truck, a pair of ugly earrings, a comb from a motel room, and every other item collected over the course of a giddy, intimate, heartbreaking relationship. Nine weeks into quarantine and I finally made my first online purchase and, yes, they are books and I am so happy! So it went like this, I was browsing through my Facebook feed one weekend which mainly consist of the usual memes, some of my friends’ rants or food they had for lunch, and whatnot when I stumbled upon this post from one of the bookish groups that I am a member of. This person, who is also a member of the group, was decluttering her shelves and decided to sell some of her books. When I saw the titles of the books she were selling, I immediately sent her a message to reserve the books under my name. It was actually an easy transaction because she made a Shopee link for the specific titles that I will be buying and also agreed for me to pay via COD (Cash On Delivery).

Today, I will list my top 10 most anticipated books for the year 2020! And, yes, maybe this post is (again) a little too late because we are already four months into 2020. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I have more time to write and work on some blog posts (and read books) these days because of the lockdown. So I’m using the time I have to do posts I didn’t have to time to work on a couple of months back.
There are a lot of books I am excited about that will be released this year, but I was able to narrow them down to just 10. Some of the books I’ve listed below were already released earlier this month, but I still don’t have a copy of any of them. Continue reading

Do you ever get stuck in that phase where you just don’t get any reading done? It happens a lot to me these days because there are a lot of other things to focus on aside from reading. Like, recently we have a lot of projects coming our way at work or some personal issues to attend to or Netflix. I think majority of the reason why I couldn’t get some reading done is because I’ve been watching Friends recently and I wanted to finish all 10 seasons so bad. With that, I haven’t really made any progress in reading Timeline by Michael Crichton, but I did read a bunch of manga. Continue reading
Bookstore sales and secondhand bookstores are one of the most beautiful things on earth for a bookworm like me, and one of the leading bookstores in the Philippines just announced that they will hold their annual book blowout event in all of their Metro Manila branches!
I’ve seen a lot of awesome titles being posted around the web by my fellow bookworms. As for me, I don’t plan on buying any new books as I haven’t read most of the books I bought and received in the past couple of months, but when my boyfriend and I visited NBS’s Greenbelt 1 branch, I just couldn’t resist. I mean, these books are so cheap, I just needed to get them!
Books are one of the known sources of entertainment, learning, and changing of perspectives. With that, some books have also been labeled as controversial by different organizations which resulted in some titles continuously being challenged and banned in libraries and schools in other countries.
