Have you ever experienced trying out something out of your comfort zone or trying out something you always thought you disliked? When it comes to reading, there are still a lot of genres I have yet to try. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while or if you know me personally, you already know that romance is my favorite genre because I grew up reading Nicholas Sparks and though I also find middle-grade books and books with a mix of YA fantasy + dystopian quite exciting reads because of their otherwise fast-paced plot and storyline, I haven’t read much books out of these genres. Reading has always helped me get rid of all of my stresses — well, at least for the time being — and I am so happy that I am finally reading consistently these past couple of months. Though I am still not reading as many books a month as I used to back when I was still a student, at least I get to finish a few books a month and I think that’s already as much reading as I can get these days.

Since I recently moved here from Tumblr, I decided to launch a new series as an opening entry in WordPress. I’m never really good at introductions, may it be in print or in person, so let me just start with this:

I was at a local secondhand bookshop one Sunday morning with my cousin and while we were browsing through the shelves, I came across this book by Nick Hornby which gave me an amazing idea for my blog: A new series. It’s been a while since I last introduced a new series here, and I haven’t really been consistent either. So, I hope this one works.
