Hi, everyone! ♡ Again, I will be carrying over a book from the previous month because I was not able to finish The Girl With All the Gifts before November ended. As usual, I’ve been busy with work and it’s always been a lot more hectic at this time of the year, so I didn’t really have enough time for reading as much as I’d like. Hopefully, after the first week of December, I’d have more time for reading again.
Now, let’s talk about the books I’ve read this month: The first book that I finished was Slasher Girls & Monster Boys and while I loved some of the stories, a lot of them just didn’t stick with me. I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars. It was okay, but I didn’t love it.
The next book that I read was an e-book of Swimming Lessons which is a collection of poems by Lili Reinhart. I love Lili Reinhart, but I just didn’t connect with most of the poems in her book. I did enjoy and love some of them, but the majority in the former. So I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars as well.
Another book that I’ve read (mostly listened to the audiobook) was Becoming by Michelle Obama which I absolutely adored. I just couldn’t stop talking about it. It made me feel all sorts of emotions just listening to Michelle. It made me think reminisce a time that I didn’t even know in the first place, her voice and story-telling skill is very inspiring. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars!
The last book I was able to squeeze in in November was a manga: It’s One-Punch Man Vol. 8. I have been reading volumes of this manga since the start of the year and I really enjoy it. It’s very light and funny. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. I can’t wait to read more volumes in the coming months.
So there you have it! I read a total of 4 books in November. It’s not a lot, but I am still happy that despite my busy schedule, I was still able to read these books. How many books were you able to read in November? Did anything stand out?
