27 Years

I just turned 27 yesterday! If you would ask me 10 years ago what I envisioned my life to be at 27, I’m not sure what I would have told you, but I’m sure that I wouldn’t have envisioned my life to be the way it is right now. I could have told that I envision myself practicing whatever it is that I’ve learned in those four years in college. I would have never, in a million years, envisioned myself becoming a writer in any form or field. I have always loved writing and it was a dream to work as a writer, but I was never given the chance to study any course related to it as my parents thought I would never get to earn enough as one. Ten years ago seems so far away, my 17-year-old self would have been shocked to know who and what I’ve become, but I hope she’s proud of me. Continue reading

Yuletide Season 2019

Merry Christmas, everyone! I know this is a bit late and I’ve been on some kind of a hiatus for a couple of days without any warning post of sorts.

So maybe I owe everyone an explanation: My last work day of the year was on December 20 and that week was also the busiest as we’ve got a deadline to meet. It was also my first time staying up all night just to wait for our documents to be released.

After that week, it’s been my family’s tradition to spend Christmas at my grandparents’ house in Tagaytay. Aside from having limited access to the internet, we were all too busy preparing for Noche Buena and going places.

So setting all the explanation aside, I hope all of you have had an awesome Christmas! My cousins and I spent Christmas Eve watching Doctor Sleep while having a couple of drinks with my aunt and uncle over our DIY Samgyupsal.

Here’s a photo of what our little Noche Buena looked like:

5 Ramen Places

It wasn’t long ago when ramen became one of the most favorite Japanese food in the Philippines. Just a few years back, all these ramen places started popping everywhere in the Metro.

I have loved that warm bowl of rich, savory soup and noodles since I first tasted it but not as much as I loved it now. My boyfriend is also a “ramen lover” (if you’d like to call it that), and most of our dates are over this huge bowl of sumptuousness and over the course of a year, we’ve tried a couple of ramen places near our office. Milk Tea Date 101

The real plan was having dinner at one of Alabang’s new restaurant, but decided to just hang somewhere near our place because we all bet there’d be a lot of people in the mall since the holidays are getting nearer. So we went to this milk tea place that I’ve been eyeing every time I pass by Rosario.

We actually just chatted and talked about so many random stuff. It’s been a while since we last saw each other and it just fascinates me every time that despite not constantly seeing each other, nothing really ever changes between our friendship. It remains as constant as the world. And that is really one thing I treasure the most.

It’s always a good time with these people. So much love, guys. I missed you all.
