Top 5 Favorite Thriller Books

20210929_203445_0000

Hey! I am thrilled to write this list because as we all know, Halloween is fast approaching, you guys! Here’s a little fact about me, I’m not the biggest fan of the horror genre as I easily get scared and spooked out by the smallest of things, but I do love a good thriller. Thrillers are the closest I can get to horror, so I have collated my top 5 thriller favorites:

20200921_104006_0000

Hey, everyone! What’s up? Sorry, I’ve been MIA the past couple of weeks. There’s just so many things to get done both in my personal life and at work, so I have very little time left for reading and writing here. Today, I’m just dropping by to mention some of the books that I’m very excited about this month! I know it will take months (or even years) for me to get to all of these books, but they are still very interesting for me regardless. So here they are: Continue reading

20200921_104006_0000

I really enjoy making bookish lists recently, so today I’m talking about the top 10 series on my backlist. This is going to be one of the most embarrassing posts I’ll ever do because, omg, self, why have you not read these yet?! Haha Also, take note that when I say backlist, I meant book series that I’ve listed as Want-to-Read from 2010 to 2017. I know, I’m really bad at catching up with all the great books! So without further ado, let’s dive right in (Please don’t judge me. 😂): Continue reading

10 Most Anticipated Releases in June

20200921_104006_0000

Half of the year is almost over, and I can’t believe that the days are flying faster and faster as time goes by. That said, a lot of really good books have been released in the past five months of 2021. I’m sure every bookworm out there couldn’t keep up with all the amazing novels, and yet there’s more. We still have another six months and there will be MORE. Continue reading

I always get excited about new releases, even when most often than not, I don’t get to read them immediately. I’m a weird person, I know. 🤪 But I’ve been enjoying making these lists recently, so here are my 12 most anticipated May releases:

7 Most Anticipated Dark Academia Books

20200921_104006_0000

Dark academia is a sub-genre that have rapidly grown in the past couple of years. Looking at my Goodreads shelf, I realized that I haven’t read a lot of books under this genre which is such a surprise for me because I really enjoy reading books in school settings! That being said, I plan to remedy that by listing some of my most anticipated dark academia books coming out this year.

Hi, everyone! I’ve been MIA again for quite some time there. It’s just that this pandemic and the current situation of my country has been taking a toll on my mental health. I’ve also been busy with other personal things, I guess. Another thing that has been bothering me lately is the sudden rise of hate crimes against the AAPI community recently, and I just can’t sit around in silence knowing that people have died while others are terrified and feeling unsafe in a world that we are all supposed to be sharing. Most especially during this pandemic, no one deserves to feel even more scared than we already are. Continue reading

2021 Most Anticipated Releases

20200921_104006_0000

Today’s post is about my most anticipated releases for this year. I am so excited to talk about all these, but before we dive into the books themselves, take note that this list will only contain either standalones, non-fictions, or new series. I didn’t include sequels as I’d like to focus on new stories and worlds I’d like to into this year. Also, most of these are releases for the first half of the year, so I’ll probably do another anticipated post in June-ish. So here they are: Continue reading

2021 Reading Resolution & Plans

I know this is a week too late, but I’ve been trying to write this ever since January 1st and I just can’t seem to find the right words to write this blog post. I have a couple of resolutions in mind and have probably told a couple of my bookish friends about it. A couple of days ago, my friend Angele @ Angele Reads Books tagged me to do The New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge! Just like her, it’s my first book tag here on my blog and I’ve decided to do it along with my personal bookish resolutions. Continue reading
