Personal Thoughts:

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐💫

The first book that I finished in February is our book club’s book of the month pick which is The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. In here we follow Aiden Bishop as he repeats the same day over and over again until he solves the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle.

This book is a murder mystery novel with some sci-fi elements in it which made it seem really cool! But I must say that I have mixed feelings about this book. At the start I was almost sure that I’m going to give it a 2 stars because of how boring the writing-style felt for me and the chapters were unbearably long. I ended up giving it 3 stars though because the last 20% of this book was full of twists that I never saw coming. The reveal at the end was mind-wracking to be honest, but I just couldn’t give it more than 3 stars as this book almost put me in a reading slump.

Overall, I can see why a lot of people loved The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle as it has the most perplexing storyline I’ve ever seen. I would recommend this for people who enjoy mysteries with a touch of sci-fi.
