Personal Thoughts:

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

I’ve recently discovered a fondness for chapter books because they are the perfect no-brainer to read when you feel a reading slump coming or if you want to take a break from your usual reads. It especially helped me to take a break from my long reads and dark novels.

When I was young, I was into Goosebumps, True Philippine Ghost Stories, The Baby-Sitters Club, and Sweet Valley High books. I didn’t know that these Horrid Henry books existed then, and one of my bookish online moot recommended this to me as she was also in the verge of a slump and these chapter books helped her get out of it. As for me, I tried reading them and they were really entertaining and, of course, such quick reads given that their intended readers are intermediate or children that are just starting to get into reading. It’s really funny!
