Synopsis:
Deja and Josiah are seasonal best friends.
Every autumn, all through high school, they’ve worked together at the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world. (Not many people know that the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world is in Omaha, Nebraska, but it definitely is.) They say good-bye every Halloween, and they’re reunited every September 1.
But this Halloween is different—Josiah and Deja are finally seniors, and this is their last season at the pumpkin patch. Their last shift together. Their last good-bye.
Josiah’s ready to spend the whole night feeling melancholy about it. Deja isn’t ready to let him. She’s got a plan: What if—instead of moping and the usual slinging lima beans down at the Succotash Hut—they went out with a bang? They could see all the sights! Taste all the snacks! And Josiah could finally talk to that cute girl he’s been mooning over for three years.
What if their last shift was an adventure?

Rating:
Pumpkinheads is a graphic novel set in a pumpkin patch on Halloween night where we follow two friends who are on a mission to find true love… and snacks.
This book put me in the biggest fall mood ever, and that’s speaking a lot because we don’t even have fall here in the Philippines. Ha. I honestly don’t know how to describe this book because every time I think about it all I can come up with is that it is the cutest thing I’ve ever read in years!
I just loved everything about this book: the art which was so cute and warm and rich and autumnal and the storyline which is honestly a very feel-good kind of contemporary and it’s perfect if you’re just looking for something happy and cute and a quick read. I also loved how heart-warming the friendship between Deja and Josiah is.
I honestly didn’t want their mission to end because I was just happy reading it. It’s cozy and the dynamics between the two main characters is superb! I’ve read some of Rainbow Rowell’s novels and loved them, and I would love to read more graphic novels illustrated by Faith Erin Hicks.
Nice.. will definitely give it a try
