Personal Thoughts:
Rating:
One thing I liked about this book is there were a lot of quotable and relatable quotes because the writing style is very flowery. This is one of the books that I have been very excited to read as I have heard nothing but good things about it. At first, I thought it wasn’t going to live up to the hype for me because even though I enjoy the flowery words, the story was kind of confusing to me. But my it turned out to be one of the books that I won’t forget. 🤍
This book is told in multiple POVs which is something I look for in thrillers as reading different POVs keep me guessing about the story. The story is about finding out what really happened to the girl that went missing near the lake. As I said, I found the first few chapters confusing and the characters kind of weirded me out, but it got interesting as the story progressed. I honestly don’t know how to write my feelings about this book because it put me through a lot of emotions, but all I can say is that it really has an extraordinary and unique story.
Overall, this is a good book and I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more of Catriona Ward’s works.
